4 Young Siblings And Their Dad Found Dead in Their Home

A devastating fire in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, claimed the lives of a father and four young children, leaving the community heartbroken. The tragedy unfolded on Guy Street around midnight on Wednesday, March 20, destroying the home of a family of eight.

The victims were identified as 27-year-old Tyler King and his children: Kyson John, 7, Kinzleigh John, 6, Keagan John, 3, and one-month-old Korbyn John. The mother, Miranda John, was rescued along with her sons, Kayden John, 10, and Kash John, 1. Miranda is stable, but her sons remain in critical condition.

Firefighters faced significant challenges, including water supply issues, which hampered efforts to control the blaze. Jeannette Fire Chief Bill Frye expressed the difficulty of the rescue efforts, stating, “We were unable to get to everybody due to the fire’s progression.”Neighbors recounted the chaos, including Jack Mull, who witnessed Miranda crying out for her trapped children from the roof. “It just makes you sick to your stomach,” he said, describing the intense flames.The fire also damaged neighboring homes. Officials, including Jeannette Mayor Curtis J. Antoniak, emphasized the emotional toll on first responders. Investigators are working to determine the cause, while the Red Cross is assisting affected families.Family and friends are remembering the victims. Miranda’s cousin, Natasha Reaggle, described Kinzleigh’s cheerful nature, Kyson’s artistic talent, Keagan’s love of dinosaurs, and baby Korbyn as a source of joy. Tyler was remembered as a kind man with an infectious smile and deep love for his family.The community has rallied to support the survivors, donating clothing, funds, and essentials. Prayer vigils have offered a space for mourning and unity, while schools are providing counseling for students and staff. Donations are being accepted at local businesses and organizations, with specific clothing sizes shared for those wishing to help.As the community grieves, their resilience shines through. Natasha expressed the collective sentiment: “We’re rallying around each other, praying for those we lost and for those still with us.”
